CCE provided surveying and civil engineering services for this substantial park project located in the City of Port Hueneme. Grant funding for this project created a contracted timeline for design and project award, and challenges with utility connections created design challenges for our team to overcome. This project, once complete, will provide a number of improvements, including improved lighted baseball fields, new lighted soccer and football fields, and a new dog park, in addition to accessibility improvements throughout the park.

CCE provided surveying and civil engineering services for the new Channel Islands Beach Communities Services District in Silver Strand (near Oxnard), California. Limited space and shallow groundwater provided numerous grading, drainage, and stormwater treatment challenges to overcome.

CCE Design Associates has been involved in the three-phase Lockwood Street Apartment project throughout its entirety. This development includes 341 affordable senior apartments currently under construction on two adjacent lots. The layout and utility locations required all utilities for the second lot to route through an easement on the first lot, leading to a highly congested and challenging utility design. To address this, our team created a detailed 3D underground utility design, ensuring no conflicts. This meticulous approach led to a successful construction without issue. The third phase of this project has recently been entitled by the City of Oxnard and will soon enter the design phase. This will add an additional 234 market-rate apartments to the overall Lockwood project.

Our project on Etting Road is an infill development on a flat site in south Oxnard. Designed with sustainability in mind, the building touts solar power and other building features, which allow the site to meet all city and county stormwater treatment criteria. The first ¾” of rain from all storm events will infiltrate back into the water table and water that leaves the site will be treated as well, with trash capture for all storm events included.

CCE provided surveying services and is currently processing civil engineering construction documents through the City of Camarillo for a 391-unit apartment project located in Camarillo. Once complete, this will be a luxury apartment facility with numerous amenities for residents in a location walkable to restaurants and entertainment, and also located within close proximity to the 101 Freeway.

CCE provided civil engineering design services for this new storage facility in Ventura. Providing grading for a large building on an infill site provided some challenge; however, the significant challenge on this project related to unforeseen utility conflicts in Market Street. Several unmapped electrical duct banks resulted in an urgent redesign effort for our storm drain, water, and sewer connections once trenches were opened in the right-of-way.
